Hello and welcome to the second Dockside Property Services annual newsletter. As before, this platform offers us the opportunity of writing to all of our valued clients, to thank you for your continued patronage and to give a brief overview of local market conditions, together with any developments likely to be of interest in the future.
2005 has seen a positive start. Early concerns regarding first time landlords’ panic selling due to lower than expected rental returns, have not born fruit. Had this been the case we may have seen large numbers of properties for sale at potentially low prices as vendors battled it out to avoid having empty, depreciating property. Fortunately the rental market has been rather more buoyant than in 2004 and this has somewhat shaped the sales market in 2005. Without the much touted possible massive influx of cheap property, purchasers have realised that the dream of grabbing a bargain will remain just that and have become more realistic with their offers and viewing requirements.
Having recently celebrated its
first birthday, our Royal Docks
office, servicing the E6, E13 and
E16 areas, is going from strength
to strength.

The refinement of our administration department is ongoing and we are making a substantial investment in the business to ensure that we can offer even higher levels of service. At our E14 Westferry Road office, Angela Middlemiss is assisting Karen Harper and at our E16 Albert Road office, Marlie Noriega is managing all property and administration duties. Both have substantial experience of over five years and each offer their very own special brand of excellence, internally and to our clients alike.

As part of our continuing expansion programme, we are pleased to announce the opening of our Medway branch. Based in Rochester, the office will cover Gillingham, Strood, Chatham and Rochester. Jennifer Sheridan, who heads up the project, has been with Dockside for some eight years and is very excited about the new venture.
The coming Autumn/Winter months look likely to be busy with Dockside looking to further extend it’s coverage into the Redbridge and Ilford area. This is an exciting time and we will of course keep you informed about other Dockside developments and the state of the market.
